1. How do I activate my phone if I receive a Q Link Wireless SIM ?

If we send you a free SIM card for your smartphone, no activation is needed. The phone is already activated and all you need to do is follow these simple instructions to continue to enjoy your free data, free minutes, and unlimited texts:

  • Turn off your smartphone.
  • Remove your old SIM card from your smartphone and compare it to the chart to determine which size you need.
  • Punch out the correct size from the plastic card and make sure to insert it correctly in the smartphone.
  • Turn on your smartphone and continue to enjoy your free data, free minutes, and unlimited texts.

2. Will I need a new SIM card for my phone?

After you enter your phone’s IMEI or MEID number here, the system checks if your phone is compatible for the BYOP program then checks if your phone has a SIM card and if that card is valid. If the card is valid, we will activate your phone immediately and you can continue to enjoy your free data, free minutes, and unlimited texts.

If the card is not valid, we will send you a free Q Link SIM card, activated and ready to use. Just follow the instructions to insert the new card into your smartphone then continue to enjoy your free data, free minutes, and unlimited texts.

 


3. Where can I find the SIM card number on my iPhone?

Your SIM card number, also called the ICCID (Integrated Circuit Card Identifier), is imprinted on the card and can be found in different locations based on the type of smartphone you have. There are 2 different ways to locate your SIM number or ICCID:

  1. Display the SIM number in the Settings screen: Go to Settings > General> About. Then scroll down and locate the ICCID number.

  2. Or, eject the SIM card: Insert a paper clip or a SIM-eject tool into the hole beside the tray and eject the tray then remove the SIM card and locate the SIM number on the card.

4. Where can I find the SIM card number on an Android?

5. Where can I find the IMEI or MEID or ESN number on my iPhone?

There are 3 different ways on how you can find your IMEI or MEID or ESN number on your iPhone. Try any of them.

  • Go to Settings > General > About. Scroll down and locate the IMEI or MEID or ESN number.

  • Or, dial *#06# and the IMEI or MEID or ESN will show on the screen.

6. Will I get to keep my Q Link phone number?

Yes, your smartphone will have your existing Q Link phone number. One the system determines that your smartphone is compatible with the BYOP program, we will switch your Lifeline service and current phone number to your phone without interrupting your service.



8. Where can I find the IMEI or MEID or ESN number on my Android phone?

There are different ways on how you can find your IMEI or MEID or ESN number on your Android Phone. You can try any of them.

  1. Go to Settings > About Device > Status. Scroll down and locate the IMEI or MEID number.

9. What is IMEI, MEID, or ESN?

The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) or the MEID (Mobile Equipment Identifier) is the number that identifies your smartphone. Locate the IMEI or MEID number then click here to check if your phone is compatible for the BYOP program. 10. Can I bring my own phone to Q Link Wireless?

Yes, you can. If you are a current Q Link Wireless customer, and you have a smartphone that you wish to switch your Lifeline service to, locate the phone’s IMEI, MEID, or ESN number then click here and check if your phone is compatible for the Bring Your Own Phone Program. 11. What is a SIM Card?

The SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card is a small smart card that identify by its integrated circuit card identifier (ICCID) and connects you to the network. The card is inserted into your smartphone and stores all your data.

If your smartphone uses a SIM, Q Link will verify the card and switch your Lifeline service to your smartphone and keep your current Q Link phone number.

If your smartphone needs a new SIM, Q Link will send you a free Q Link card, activated and ready to use. Just insert the new card into your smartphone.
